Living in Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki feels like a city that hasn’t been overly optimized yet, in a good way. It’s coastal, social, and a bit rough around the edges, which gives it personality.

The cost of living is relatively low, and daily life revolves around simple things done well. Coffee, food, walking along the waterfront. It’s easy to build a routine that feels enjoyable without spending much.

The downside is that infrastructure and bureaucracy can be inconsistent, and it’s not as internationally connected as Athens. But if you’re okay with that, you get a lifestyle that feels very human. It’s less about productivity and more about actually enjoying your day-to-day.
