Living in Austin

Austin is what happens when a city becomes very aware that it’s cool. There’s a ton going on, from tech to music to food, and you’ll never run out of things to do. It’s social, fast-moving, and full of people trying to build something.

The problem is that everyone else noticed too. Costs are high, especially rent, and it’s easy to feel like you’re paying a premium just to participate. That said, if you’re career-focused or want to be around energy and opportunity, it delivers.

Daily life tends to revolve around work, social events, and trying to justify the rent with how much you’re getting out of it. It’s not a place you accidentally drift through. You’re either actively engaging with it or questioning why you’re there.
